Ever since I got engaged in January, I find myself wearing very little jewelry. Sometimes I’ll put a watch on, sometimes a pair of statement earrings, maybe a dainty necklace but never really anything chunky. I have very much been drawn to only minimalistic jewelry.
I recently found a New York based company called Au-Rate and I was SO drawn to their ring collection because it was all very dainty and simple! My kind of jewelry store. I loved so much of their pieces but I ended up getting a pair of stackable rings because I could stack them with any of my other rings or wear them alone for a simpler look! I wore one as a midi ring with this outfit for some dimension. It pairs so well with anything, especially my engagement ring! (By the way, didn’t Hunter do SO well picking out my engagement ring?! We never even went to look at rings together but he got exactly what I had hoped for!!!)
The western belt I’m wearing in this outfit, in my opinion, is loud enough and probably would not look good with a stack of 3 bracelets or a statement necklace paired with the earrings I wore. It would all be too much (MC Hammer vibes)! I even went with these ASRTD Eyewear sunglasses in all black because I felt like even gold-trimmed sunglasses were too much with this look, hahaha. I wear so much statement clothing (like this ootd) that very loud jewelry can just be overwhelming!
You can shop my look by clicking the pictures below! I threw this outfit on very quickly for dinner with Hunter and I love how the belt easily completed this simple look. I have also been loving smocked tops this Summer because they have so much stretch to them and the scrunched look can really disguise unwanted curves sometimes, aka food babies or belly rolls when sitting hahaha. What do you guys think of this edgy, casual outfit? Do you think minimalistic jewelry was the way to go on this one? Feel free to comment below your opinions!!
As always friends, happy shopping!
