I’m still a little bit confused where this year went, anyone else? I’ve been told that time goes by even faster as you get older and I really wish that wasn’t true! During this holiday season, I want to do whatever I can to make the most of my time. To do that, I need to get organized and prep early on! Christmas decor went up the week before Thanksgiving (even though we had plans to get them out November 1st, hehe.) I’ve already started to buy stocking stuffers and actually found some really great deals on some gifts for Hunter during Black Friday/Cyber Weekend! I’m feeling real prepared, y’all.
Preparing for the Holiday Season before December:
- Design or pick out your Christmas cards (once you get the photoshoot done, all you have to do is replace the template’s picture with yours!)
- Prepare your Christmas decor (start getting those boxes out from storage early!)
- Make a budget
- Create a gift list (who and what)
- Add to your own wishlist
- Start buying those Christmas gifts (spread out the purchases on different weeks so you stay on budget)
One of my favorite things about the holiday season is receiving cards from family and friends, then running out of room on the fridge to display them all! Though Hunter and I have never sent any holiday cards out before, we can’t wait get a photoshoot in of us with our favorite girl, Luna! I know exactly where I’d order our cards from, The Basic Invite, because they have such a wide variety of preloaded designs.
How cute are these cards?! Hunter and I LOVE taking photo booth pictures so the first design would be perfect for our first Christmas card! But there are over 500 holiday card designs to choose from, so excuse me while I go into a Christmas card rabbit hole haha. Right now, you can get 30% off your holiday cards with code ‘HOLI30’! The Basic Invite has almost unlimited colors with LIVE preview, over 40 different colors of envelopes, and they’ll even send you a printed sample of your custom card so you can see/feel what it’ll be like! Check out their office Christmas party invitations or find a holiday photo cards template for your Christmas cards this year!
I ordered stationary and I loved how they turned out! It’s so nice to have custom cards with my blog name on it for thank you notes! It was so easy to design on the website. I can’t wait to order some clear business cards–they look so cool and different! But first, holiday cards. Do you order Christmas cards every year?! How do you prep for the holidays?? Leave a comment and I can add your tips to my list!

Nickie
