Home Tour: Dining Area

Home Decor Home Tour Dining Room Home InspirationHey y’all! I am so excited to reveal my dining room now that I’ve gotten it all put together! I change things up so often that by now it’s probably already different! Lol!

So here it is… a small tour of a little corner of my apartment! I compiled a few tips below on what I learned when putting together this space, enjoy!

Tips on styling your own dining room:

1| Always measure your space before choosing any furniture. This is a number one rule for any room you furnish or decorate! You don’t want to end up with a dining table too large for your space!

2| Wall decor is super important in a dining area like mine. Without wall art or decor, your space will look very bare! If you have a window in your space, you could get away with nothing on the walls. But to make the space feel more complete, hang a tapestry, painting or a few floating shelves!

3| Choose the right rug. Refrain from getting the same color rug as your chairs. And your rug dimensions should be at least 1-2 feet longer and wider than your table (all legs should be on the rug)!

4| Create a centerpiece for your table! Whether its a tray with a collection of items on it, or just a simple vase of flowers, a centerpiece ties the entire dining area together.

5| Place settings. If you decide to add place settings, be sure to have a smaller centerpiece. As you can see, my table is not large enough to include place settings along with the round tray I have displayed. So just be sure you have plenty of room on your table if place settings are your thang. For a more laid back dining area like mine, they aren’t really necessary!
